Five years ago a bunch of guys started the Fedora Security Lab which was named Security Spin back then. Adam Miller initiated everything with the first commit.

With Fedora 13 the Security Spin aka Security Lab became an official spin. This means that the spin was listed on http://spins.fedoraproject.org. Ever since for every new Fedora release a new spin was produced with the latest available packages.
